Music Ministry
At Cross Roads Church, we want worship to be a place where people can truly feel God’s presence. We strive to make this happen through our music.
Adult Choir -
The Adult Choir meets on Thursday nights at 7:30pm (except during the summer). Katherine Csellar is our Music Director and Organist.
We sing a variety of styles of anthems, mostly 4 parts (SATB). We sing, pray, and laugh together. We always welcome more singers.
Our yearly cycle of performance includes a Candlelight Christmas Eve lessons and carols, an Ash Wednesday simple communion, a Maundy Thursday Lessons and Anthems, as well as singing at regular Sunday Worship services.
Please contact us if you would like more information about the choir, or to learn how to join.
Music During Worship
Our Sunday services are labeled as a “blended” worship, which means we sing both traditional hymns as well as contemporary praise songs. Curt Erickson and Jesse Erickson help to lead our contemporary worship music.
Contemporary Christian Music Concerts
Throughout the year, we present Contemporary Music Concerts, featuring both Christian and secular selections. Most concerts are headed up by local music group, Novice Monk, along with other guest performers. These concerts are well attended. Admission is free, although a free-will offering is taken; proceeds are used to fund our music ministry. Watch our website, under “Church News” on the homepage, for announcements of upcoming concerts!
Children’s Choir
Curt Erickson also works with our school-aged Children’s Choir. The group and soloists share their musical talents with us during various worship services throughout the year. Rehearsals generally occur near the end of the Sunday School hour.
