Special Offerings are collected 4 times a year for 4 different missions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) The One Great Hour of Sharing is collected during the season of Lent and culminates in a final collection on Easter Sunday. This offering focuses on the Self-Development of People, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, and Presbyterian Hunger Relief. The Pentecost Offering is collected on Pentecost Sunday (typically late May to early June), with its funds focused on children at risk, youth and young adults ministries. On the first Sunday of October, we celebrate World Communion Sunday and collect the Peace & Global Witness Offering. This offering is distributed to ministries that focus on peacemaking and reconciliation in communities around the world. Finally, the Christmas Joy Offering is collected during the season of Advent. Funds from this offering go to pastors and their families during times of need. To learn more about these offerings and the good that they do, click here.
