Looking to learn more about how to help with childcare in our church? See below!
1. An adult over the age of 18 will bring willing children downstairs after the children's sermon. Kids will have the opportunity to play in one of the children's classrooms (there is a "dutch door" in between the two rooms.) The adult will keep a watchful eye on the children, but also be able to view/hear worship on the television as it is live streamed on YouTube. If the weather is nice, the option is there for the adult to bring the children to the playground.
2. Since this is childcare only, the adult volunteer is not responsible for "teaching" a Sunday School lesson. However, it doesn't mean you can't read books, play games, or bring coloring pages or an activity to do with the children, if you so desire.
3. Parents will be asked to fill out a form with cell phone information upon arrival, in case the childcare volunteer needs to call/text you with an issue during worship (please keep your phone on vibrate.) Parents will be asked to pick up children promptly following worship from downstairs classroom or playground.
4. At this point in time, we are asking that all childcare volunteers wear a mask when indoors with children, regardless of vaccination status.

Please remember that according to PA state law, every person who volunteers with children MUST be background checked in the last 5 years. If you plan to sign up to help, please send your background check information into the church office (copies are fine) via email or snail mail or drop it off. If you haven't, here's the link to information to get it done for FREE (since you're a volunteer and awesome!)
You will need:
1. Child Abuse History Clearance - https://www.dhs.pa.gov/KeepKidsSafe/Clearances/Pages/PA-Child-Abuse-History-Clearance.aspx
2. PATCH - https://epatch.state.pa.us/Home.jsp
3. If you have lived in PA for more than 10 years, you can sign a Disclosure Statement to bypass the FBI fingerprinting process. Just scroll to the bottom of this page and select "Disclosure Statement for Volunteer" https://www.dhs.pa.gov/KeepKidsSafe/Clearances/Pages/default.aspx
